… rumble the streets, enjoy the sun, visit museums, don’t diet, eat ice cream, dine in a fine restaurant, take pictures, wear a dress that you like, feel beautiful.
I’ve visited Venice for several times. Each time I had something on the agenda, a museum I’ve missed the previous time, a special exhibition, an island that I’ve never reached. And each time I’ve come back for the little street, the hidden corners, the smell of jasmine and the taste of ice cream.
Every time I go to a place I buy a little something to remind me that city. But this time I’ve decided just to take pictures.
When you are in a place of such great beauty like Venice, you want to become a part of it, to celebrate it, to dress up for it.
I’ve chosen for the date with the elegant old lady, Venice, the Cotton Lapel Dress from Chemistry, in the color of the terracotta rooftops in the sunset and with a perfect shape, that reminded me of the stylized old ball gowns. I’ve worn the dress with heals, but also with comfy Oxford shoes. I’ve pulled over a sweater in the cold evenings, but none the less felt elegant and beautiful.
In time, the memories are the most valuable things that we gain. Beside the beauty of the places we’ve visited, why not remain also with the memory of us wearing a beautiful dress in a sunny afternoon in Venice?
